Open Positions: Management Consultants: Managers and Associates – New Product Development Management Consulting

Seeking experienced management consultants and former operating company executives (manager-level or higher only, please) for subcontract Manager and subcontract Associate roles.  The primary responsibility for Managers is the leadership of management consulting work streams, and project execution for some projects.  Associates are responsible for project execution.   

Focal areas include innovation, new product development, business process improvement, product management, strategy, analytics, and profitability improvement.  No relocation necessary.  

Background and Experience Required

MBA, plus Bachelors degree in an engineering, science, liberal arts, marketing, or math-based discipline

Managers: 5+ years of management consulting experience, or, 10+ years operating company experience in product development and management required

Associates: 2+ years of management consulting experience, or, 6+ years operating company experience in product development and management required

Both: Deep experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas: innovation, product development, project portfolio management, marketing, product life-cycle management, or profitability improvement.  This is required.

Both: Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable value.  Track record of successful project delivery – references for same.  References will be checked

Both: Very good interpersonal skills and client communication skills

Both: Determination and willingness to do whatever it takes to deliver client results.  Willingness to take direction with poise and work 70+ hours per week if needed

Both: "Client-first" mentality

Managers: Ability to direct a consulting delivery team and provide leadership from a thought leadership and work planning point of view

Managers: Demonstrated track record of leading project teams of 3+ associate-level consultants or similar level in industry

Associates: Great spreadsheet skills.  This will be explicitly tested in the interview

Industry: Telecom services industry experience.  CPG industry experience.  Integrated hardware-software solution industry experience.

Prefer: Experience in design and implementation of product development processes

Plus: eCommerce Management or Strategic IT Management experience.  IT Process improvement experience.  5 years or more of director-level experience or above is required

Plus: Stage gate process design and implementation

Plus: Merger analytics

Plus: Experience orchestrating or executing a reorganization

Plus: Experience using Sopheon Accolade, Planisware OPX2, or CA Clarity, or other Portfolio Management systems

Plus: Management consulting experience

Other Information

Managers: $4,000 - $5,500 per week, depending on qualifications and client billing rate

Associates: $2,500 - $4,000 per week, depending on qualifications and client billing rate

Subcontractor contract required

Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time; 80% on average
